• Roda village:
  This beautifully typical Spanish village is an easy 10 minute walk from the apartment. It has a convenient supermarket, hairdresser and church, and also three bars/restaurants being; "Campbell's" an Irish bar which has a good selection of drinks and food, "Roda's" a wonderful Spanish restaurant/bar who serve a three course menu of the day (menú del día) for just €6 and a gastrobar called "Yummy".
   
• Los Alcázares:
  The town also has over 100 bars and restaurants covering all cuisine from typical Spanish to Indian and Chinese.
  There are a total of 7 wonderful beaches, just 5 minutes drive from the apartment, with the opportunity to do many different water sport activities.

• The PLAZA 525 in Los Alcázares:
  Located just 2 minutes drive away from the apartment, The PLAZA 525 has many different types of restaurants, cafes and bars located in one convenient area and you can park, for free, directly next to The PLAZA 525. Location below shows just a few of the facilities there:
  
   
• Aqua park:
  Located in nearby Torrevieja just a 25 minute drive away. This is a great day out for all the family. For full details click here.

  There are 16 quality golf courses within an easy 30 minute drive from the apartment and of course the Roda golf course is on your door step.
   
• Markets:
  There are many different markets held in the surrounding area on various days where you can pick up bargains and typical Spanish items.
   
• Shopping:
  There are excellent large shopping centres located in Los Alcázares. There are also many more located in nearby towns, some of the best and biggest being; "Dos Mares" in San Javier (10 minutes drive away), "The Boulevard" in La Zenia (20 minutes drive away) and "The Habaneras" in Torrevieja (25 minutes drive away).
   
• Historical cities:
  Murcia: This is 25 minutes drive from the apartment. It is a large inland City and the following are just a few of the things to do and see there:
  Visit the stunning cathedral which is probably Murcia's most famous landmark.
  Enjoy a drink in the Plaza de las Flores. It got its name from its many florist shops. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a coffee, do a bit of people-watching and check out the Art Nouveau townhouses.
  Relax at the Floridablanca Gardens. It has colourful flower gardens and plenty of shaded areas, and its most stunning inhabitants are the old ficus trees. It's Murcia’s oldest public park,
  Cartagena: This is 20 minutes drive from the apartment. It is a historical naval port and the following are just a few of the things to see and do there:
  Marvel at the Roman theatre.
  View the very picturesque Palacio Consistorial.
  Learn about Cartagena's history at the Archaeological museum.
  Visit the Castillo de la Concepción which is located at the highest point of Cartagena and offers amazing views across the city.
  Visit the wonderful Military museum which is home to one of the largest collections of artillery in Spain.
  The Naval museum displays exhibits on everything from boat construction to naval health, uniforms, art and sailor life.
