Beaches:
The nearest beach to the house is Playa de Alamillo which is just a 6 minute
walk away and there are many other fantastic
sandy beaches within a 5 minute drive stretching from the beach
at La Azohia and Isla Plana across to the beach at Bolnuevo.

- Markets:
There are many different markets held in the surrounding area on
various days where you can pick up bargains and typical Spanish
items. The Puerto de Mazarrón main market is excellent and
starts at approximately 8.30am every Sunday.
- Shopping,
bars & restaurants:
The house is perfectly located in the quiet Alamillo area of
Puerto de Mazarrón and just a 6 minute walk to the
local beach, sports bar, restaurants and pharmacy.
The Mazarrón port (and its main beach) is a 15/20 minute walk
away. This area has dozens of wonderful bars &
restaurants and many shops & supermarkets.

- Aqua
park:
Located in Torrevieja which
is a 60 minute drive away. This
is a great day out for all the family. For full details

- Golf
courses:
There are
12 quality golf courses within an easy 30 minute drive from the
house.
- Historical
cities:
Murcia: This is 45 minutes drive from the house. It is a
large inland City and the following are just a few of the things
to do and see there: Visit the stunning cathedral which is probably Murcia's most
famous landmark. Enjoy a drink in the Plaza de las Flores. It got its name from
its many florist shops. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a
coffee, do a bit of people-watching and check out the Art
Nouveau townhouses. Relax at the Floridablanca Gardens. It has colourful flower
gardens and plenty of shaded areas, and its most stunning
inhabitants are the old ficus trees. It's Murcia’s oldest public
park, Cartagena: This is 35 minutes drive from the house. It is a
historical naval port and the following are just a few of the
things to see and do there: Marvel at the Roman theatre. View the very picturesque Palacio Consistorial. Learn about Cartagena's history at the Archaeological museum. Visit the
Castillo de la Concepción which
is located at the highest point of Cartagena and offers amazing
views across the city. Visit the wonderful Military museum which is home to one of the
largest collections of artillery in Spain. The Naval museum displays exhibits on everything from boat
construction to naval health, uniforms, art and sailor life.
